Meet Marketing Lure
Sue Anderson-Lenz - Marketing Lure Owner and Business Writersue@marketinglure.comA 23+ year career in the software industry has given Sue Anderson-Lenz a deep understanding for the language, motivations, and needs of the software community. While working as director for two international software firms — one focused on delivering financial information to the investment community, the other focused on delivering market research to the CPG community — Sue saw her share of marketing collateral filled with buzzwords and unsubstantiated claims. Everyone, it seemed, was selling industry-leading, enterprise-wide software solutions built with next generation technologies. What was desperately missing from each was “What’s In It For Me." In 2005 Sue left her software development roots to join SoftwareCEO.com as site manager and assistant publisher. Responsible for newsletter content and publication, site content, and marketing/promotional material, Sue realized that high tech marketing could be different. In fact, easy-to-understand language trumped impressive-sounding buzzwords every time. Her passion for marketing led her to create Marketing Lure, Inc, where she now helps clients transform their convoluted marketing material into direct, meaningful copy that sells. Sue's work has appeared in online and print journals including SoftwareCEO, TechRepublic, CIO, Intranets, Home Business Magazine, and Website Magazine. She is Pragmatic Marketing certified (PMC), a SoftwareCEO Innovation Awards judge, and technically competent... thanks to the M.S. CompSci degree she earned from Michigan State University. When she's not writing, you'll find her running, gardening, or hiking with her dogs Joey and Annie by her side. |
