Dear Colleague,

If you haven't seen it yet, I would encourage you to check out InformationWeek's Thanksgiving cover story appropriately titled:
"So Much Data, So Little Encryption."

InformationWeek calls the state of security "dismal," after a survey of 499 business technology professionals revealed that 14% don't use encryption to protect company information.

The article also brings to light issues that IT pros encounter when they try to take an enterprise-wide approach to security, and when asked what would increase their use of encryption, built-in support, improved performance, and better key management topped their list.

Here at Zecurion we recognized the network headaches that encryption appliances create, which is why we chose to localize encryption on the servers. Our encryption is automatic and efficient, with both stored data and new data encrypted using an adaptive, multi-threaded algorithm that's been proven to consume no more than 2-10% of the CPU power when compared to non-encrypted servers.

With regards to key management, InformationWeek's survey respondents said they were worried about permissions and catastrophes resulting from lost keys.

We mitigate these risks by breaking encryption keys into a number of segments that can be distributed to different people in your organization. You define how many key segments are necessary to gain access to the data, and you're free to change key segment(s) whenever policy dictates or you suspect a segment has been lost or compromised.

In Zserver Suite® 6.0 (scheduled for release next week), we've also introduced an Enterprise Key Management Server to centrally house all of the keys used to encrypt data. As a valued newsletter subscriber, I'm offering you a copy of this server encryption software which you can use from now until January 31, 2010 at absolutely no cost.

If you've been having difficulty getting buy-in or funding for enterprise-wide security at your company, here's your chance to try our encryption solution risk-free. To take me up on this offer, click on this link to send me an e-mail with your request.

Best regards,
